I've been away on a whirlwind vacation to Hawaii. A sudden unplanned trip to celebrate 10 years of marriage - well actually almost 10! This trip was a little earlier(about a month), but something that my wonderful parents wanted us to do. Go see some place without having to worry about the kids! The grandparents babysat while we took off. It was a hectic but wonderful trip, though we really missed the kids. Here are some pictures from our trip...
Aloha airlines monthly magazine - since this is a food blog, i thought i should start with this :-)
Hawaiian food concentrates more on Seafood and Pork. Though Hawaii is a blend of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, American and native Hawaiian cuisines!
Hanauma Bay in Oahu. Formed many 1000 years ago, when the rising of sea level filled a crater and eventually reefs starting forming. The reefs and sea life is still very young here, but beautiful nevertheless.

The Byodo-In Japanese Temple in Oahu. Surrounded by mountains, this place is very serene and soothing.

We had been to Hawaii for our honeymoon last yr.It was a dream vacation.We had been to Mauii and the place is just awesome.From ur pics I don't think you had been to Mauii.I wanna go there again n again,wish Hawaii was a lot nearer.

Latha, Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, we just celebrated ours. We went to Hawaii to celebrate our first anniversary.Kaui was so beautiful and pristine. I hope you went to the gauva orchards ..
